Chances of getting into USC vs. UCLA for out of state student?

I know getting into a state college being an out of state student is hard... I want to be an English teacher for an elementary school or middle school though and I want to go to one of those two schools. Which am I more likely to get into?
My background: in high school 9th grade, i took the sat and got higher than the average college going senior in the English portion. I am usually a straight b student though.
Thanks! And, if I need to provide anymore info, please let me know :)

You really need to rethink your plan. Both schools are extremely expensive for an out-of-state student. It's not worth paying that kind of money for your education if you want to be a high school teacher. You'll get an equally good preparation for your teaching career at one of your own state universities.

Here are the numbers:

UCLA -- 91% of their students come from in-state; 93% of those students have a GPA of 3.75 or higher. Estimated costs for one year of tuition, room, board and expenses -- $54,000 (and those costs will go up every year until graduation). UCLA gets more applications than any other school in the country and it's very hard to get in as an out-of-state student.

USC -- 58% of their students come from in-state; 80% of those students have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Estimated costs for one year of tuition, room, board and expenses -- $58,000.

By way of comparison, let's say you're in-state at the U. of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. The estimated costs there for tuition, room, board and expenses for one year are $28,000. Going to California would literally double the cost of your education vs. going to a state university.

EVERY university has its "admissions requirements" clearly posted on their website.

(blows me away that supposedly smart kids with Internet access can't think to look)

It depends on the schools budget...my college councilor told me that & that many colleges are accepting ALOT more out if state students because their tuition is higher so the schools get more money!
